Egypt - Denmark

Dear applicant,
Kindly be informed that our center will be closed on the 19th and 20th of July 2015 for the Feast vacation. TLScontact wishes you and your families a happy feast a happy holiday.

Kindly note that our working hours during Ramadan will be from Sunday to Thursday, 08:30 to 15:00.

Kindly be informed that no child spouse or other is allowed to travel on the same passport of an applicant. Each person should have a separate passport when he is applying for a short visa or a long visa.

It has been decided from Denmark that all GR1 applicants (Residence and work permit under the Greencard Scheme) must verify their educational and work related experience certificates at the Embassy before they present them to TLScontact.

Applicant's fingerprints and photo

From the 11th of October, 2011, applicants need to appear in person for the collection of the biometric data: ten fingerprints and a photograph are collected from persons applying for a visa.

Before the recording of the photo applicants may be asked to remove glasses or adjust head coverings if they hide facial features.

Certain categories of applicants are exempt from the requirement to give fingerprints, including:

  • Persons for whom fingerprinting is physically impossible
  • Heads of State and members of national governments, and members of their official delegations when invited for an official purpose.

Attention, once your application has been submitted at the TLScontact center, you will have to wait until the end of the application process to retrieve your passport. TLScontact reminds you that appointment making and registration on our website are free of charge. Visa fee and service fee will only be received at the application submission in our center.

Upon receiving a complete visa application, the process according to the Schengen Visa Codex rules must not exceed 15 calendar days. However, applications require consultation from other Schengen partners or may have to be submitted to the Danish Immigration Service in Copenhagen. This may take several weeks and in some cases up to 12 weeks. If not all the Schengen-requirements have been met; processing time on individual applications can differ from the abovementioned. Bona Fide visas can be made on a shorter notice. For more exact information on processing time please refer to the Danish Immigration Services web site: www.newtodenmark.dk: Visa processing time.
