Important notice: Starting 17th of December 2016, applicants who wish to book an appointment for visa application submission from December 30th, 2016 onwards should Register and Book on the following link: https://fr.tlscontact.com/th/bkk/

The Embassy of France and TLScontact are only able to accept visa applications from Thai residents (Article No. 2008-1176 of November 13, 2008). Visa applications from non-residents, including Thai nationals, who are settled in another country can only be processed if applicants can prove that they have an urgent and unforeseen need to travel to France whilst visiting Thailand and thus are unable to apply in their country of residence.

Please note that the visa applications processing times are:

  • Visas for family or private visit, tourism visas: up to 10 working days.
  • Visas for professional reasons or business: 3 working days.
  • Visas for official visit (no appointment needed) : 5 working days, between the day of application and return of passport.

Long Stay visas: It is strongly advised to apply at least 2 months before the departure date. The process can take from 10 days to 2 months. It may take longer depending on the volume of visa applications received.

From May 19th, 2014, all electronics devices (mobile phones, tablets, laptops…) will be forbidden within the TLScontact center. A locker room will be at your disposal at the entrance of the center.

Please kindly note that pictures submitted must be complying with the ICAO standards. An ICAO compliant photo-booth is at your disposal within the TLScontact Center.

Study in France
You are going to France for study purposes.
Family, private visit
Your destination is outside the Schengen area and you need to transit through France or stay in a French airport in order to reach your destination.
Attention: you should provide your seaman certificate authorized by a French precinct.
