TLScontact renews its Cyber Essentials Plus certification

TLScontact is proud to announce the successful renewal of its Cyber Essentials Plus certification in the UK. Backed by the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), this certification underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to protecting its systems, data, and customers against today’s evolving cyber threats.

TLScontact first achieved this UK government-backed certification in 2023 and recently renewed it for the second time, following a rigorous evaluation process. The renewal confirms that our organisation continues to meet, and in many areas exceed, the highest standards of cyber security required to safeguard information and digital infrastructure.

A comprehensive independent audit of our cyber defences

The Cyber Essentials scheme is designed to help UK organisations of all sizes protect themselves from common online threats. It focuses on five key technical areas that form the foundation of strong cyber resilience:

  • Firewall configuration
  • Secure configuration
  • User access controls
  • Patch management
  • Malware protection.

In order to achieve Cyber Essentials Plus certification, organisations must first complete a detailed self-assessment questionnaire, which is then reviewed by an independent auditor. This is followed by an independent, hands-on technical audit and testing of the organisation’s IT systems by a certified assessor, to verify that all relevant security controls are effectively implemented and working correctly.

External certifications such as Cyber Essentials Plus are an important benchmark of assurance for both public and private sector clients. They provide independent validation that an organisation has implemented effective, industry-recognised controls to defend against cyberattacks. In an environment where digital trust is critical, certifications also promote transparency and accountability, helping customers, partners, and stakeholders feel confident that their data is being handled securely.

The benchmark for our cyber security practices worldwide

While Cyber Essentials Plus is a UK-based certification, it plays a central role in TLScontact’s broader global approach to cyber security. We apply the same principles and rigorous standards across our worldwide operations, ensuring consistency and resilience in data protection, wherever we operate.

As Head of Cyber Security, Filip Stojanovic, explains:

“Renewing our Cyber Essentials Plus certification reinforces our position as a trusted partner to the UK government, demonstrating our compliance with strict UK government standards. It also reflects our ongoing commitment to the highest standards of cyber security worldwide, reinforcing trust among our clients, partners, and visa applicants across the globe.”

The certification renewal highlights TLScontact’s proactive stance in maintaining robust cyber defences in an increasingly complex digital landscape. As cyber threats continue to evolve, the company remains focused on continuous improvement, regularly updating its systems, controls, and staff awareness to stay ahead of emerging risks.
