TLScontact to open new visa application centres for France in North America

Appointment tables are now open for our brand new visa application centres for France in the United States and Jamaica, due to open in April 2025. This follows an important new contract win with the French authorities late last year, expanding our global presence for France to four continents.

In total, TLScontact will open 11 new centres across the United States and Jamaica in April, 2025. The centres will be located at key points across the USA, and in Kingston, Jamaica, with a central processing hub in Washington DC. TLScontact staff will manage application submission and biometric enrolment for all short and long-stay French visas. Applications will then be transferred to the French Embassy in Washington for processing.

New facilities and services to improve customer experience

The new facilities are designed to optimise the visa application process, reduce appointment times, and improve the overall customer experience. Applicants can expect a range of services to support them, including access to a premium lounge in many locations, “Prime Time” appointments outside of standard office hours, and the “Apply Anywhere” service, which allows them to submit their application from a location of their choice.

According to Gabriele Piva, CEO of TLScontact, the new contract is a significant milestone for the company:

“This is a new chapter for TLScontact that will see us operating in North America for the first time in our history. I would like to thank the French authorities for this strong vote of confidence and reiterate our commitment to providing the best possible customer service in this new market. The timelines are very tight for these openings, and teams from across our organisation have been working around the clock to ensure that the new centres are ready on time. We are looking forward to welcoming our first visa customers in the US and Jamaica from April.”

A dedicated team of experts to support the launch

Staff recruited to run our new operations – over 50 people in total – will receive extensive support from expert colleagues across our organisation. This will be in the form of training in the run-up to launch, delivered both virtually and face-to-face by our in-house training team and experienced operations colleagues from other regions. They will also be shadowed by TLScontact operations experts sent to the US for the first few weeks of our new operations, to ensure a smooth launch.

Strengthening our global presence for France

The opening of these new centres marks an important expansion of our global footprint for France, with TLScontact now managing outsourced visa services on behalf of the French authorities in over 20 countries, across four continents. With our advanced facilities and innovative services, we are well-positioned to meet the growing demand for Schengen visas and long-stay national visas in North America.

Applicants can find the full list of centres, including locations and appointment information, on our dedicated website. The new centres are set to open on April 18th, 2025, with visitors able to book their appointments now, once they have completed their visa application form on the France-Visas website.
